<p>CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a global biotechnology company at their site in Singapore on a permanent basis.</p><p><br></p><p>The role is fully site based and the working hours are 12-8pm or 1-9pm Monday to Friday.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Company:</strong></p><p>Our client is a global biotechnology company who provides various high-throughput sequencing services to the biotech, pharma, life sciences markets.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong></p><p>This role is based at our client's site in Central Singapore.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Laboratory Technician Role:</strong></p><p>The Lab Technicians play a crucial role in our client's laboratory operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient execution of DNA library preparation and sequencing. Lab Technicians are responsible for preparing samples, operating sequencing equipment, and ensuring the integrity of data.</p><ul><li><strong>Sample Preparation</strong>: Prepare and troubleshoot DNA samples for sequencing</li><li><strong>Instrument Operation</strong>: Operate and maintain sequencing and liquid handling instruments; monitor performance and troubleshoot issues</li><li><strong>Results Analysis</strong>: Review sequencing output, perform quality control, and conduct basic data analysis; collaborate with bioinformaticians for data interpretation</li><li><strong>Team Collaboration</strong>: Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of cutting-edge sequencing technology</li><li><strong>Logistic Responsibilities</strong>: Work hand in hand with the worldwide logistics team, coordinate with the logistics partners, and supply customers with shipping consumables, ensuring their timely and successful delivery to the lab</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Background</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Lab Experience</strong>: Hands-on experience with DNA extraction, purification, and/or sequencing techniques is preferred, but general lab experience is also welcome</li><li><strong>Problem Solver</strong>: Creative problem solver who can dig into an issue and figure out ways to resolve it</li><li><strong>Curiosity and interested in developing your skills in science</strong></li><li><strong>Detail-Oriented & Organized</strong>: Meticulous attention to detail and ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects at a time</li><li><strong>Communication</strong>: Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas to people across lab locations</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Apply:</strong></p><p>It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the Singapore.
