Through captivating visuals and compelling storytelling, we showcase the value of ASTAR technologies and foster wider industry adoption.<br><br>Our team serves as a creative bridge between A*STAR technologies and industry partners?translating complex science into intuitive, user-centered innovations that resonate with diverse stakeholders.<br><br><strong> Key Responsibilities <br><br></strong><ul><li> Develop innovative product concepts and designs that address real-world needs by collaborating with engineering, marketing, and business teams. </li><li> Apply creative problem-solving to overcome technical challenges to meet stakeholder?s requirement. </li><li> Translate complex technologies into manufacturable product designs using sketches, CAD, renderings, and prototypes. </li><li> Evaluate design concepts for mechanical functionality, durability, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. </li><li> Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and tolerance analyses for mechanical components. </li><li> Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines. <br><br></li></ul><strong> Requirements <br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering with preferably 3 years relevant experience in an R&D and manufacturing environment, focusing on product development. </li><li> Excellent knowledge of product design and design thinking. </li><li> Good knowledge of 3D modelling (preferably Solidworks). </li><li> Good knowledge of Geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up calculation. </li><li> Good knowledge of mechanical properties of materials. </li><li> Knowledge of manufacturing technologies for product design in ANY of the processes as below: </li><li> Solid machining, CNC milling, and CNC lathe </li><li> Extrusion/ forging </li><li> Plastic injection molding </li><li> Pressure die-casting/investment casting/Gravity casting </li><li> Stamping </li><li> 3D Printing </li><li> Surface treatment, Spray painting, and Anodizing </li><li> Knowledge of in production and assembly. </li><li> Good knowledge of simulation and stress analysis and its verification methods. </li><li> Good knowledge of product testing and verification methods. </li><li> Good hands-on ability for prototype verification.</li></ul>
