The Security Officers at The American Club safeguard members, guests, and staff through patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident response. They operate guard house equipment and provide professional customer service. Candidates must be Singapore citizens with a valid PLRD Security Officer Licence, physical fitness, and WSQ training, showing vigilance and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Guarding and Patrolling

  • Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols to secure The American Club’s premises, including entrances, parking areas, and event spaces.

Access Control

  • Manage entry and exit points, verify identities, issue visitor/contractor passes, and monitor deliveries. 

Incident Response

  • Address minor security incidents (e.g., unauthorized access, minor disputes) and report to Security Executives or the Security Manager.

CCTV Monitoring

  • Monitor surveillance systems to detect and report suspicious activities, operating CCTV equipment as trained to ensure operational continuity.

Guard House Operations

  • Operate guard house equipment (e.g., access control systems, communication devices) as trained, especially to cover staffing shortages.

    Customer Service

  • Assist club members and guests with directions or inquiries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

 Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Diploma in Security Management or a related field, GCE ‘O’ Level, NITEC, or equivalent, with proficiency in literacy and communication.

  • ·Minimum: 2–3 years in the security industry, preferably as a Security Officer

  • Must hold a valid Security Officer Licence issued by the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).

  • Must be able to conduct patrols, supervise operations, and respond to incidents.

  • Must pass PLRD security screening, including checks for criminal records, bankruptcy, or affiliations with prohibited organisations.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as WSQ Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision or first aid training.

  • Knowledge of Singapore’s security regulations and emergency response protocols.

  • Experience in hospitality settings, balancing security with guest experience.

  • Proficiency in operating security systems (e.g., CCTV, access controls, alarms).

  • Effective communication and training skills to guide and develop security personnel.

  • Knowledge of WSQ security modules (e.g., Handle Security Incidents and Services) and compliance with Singapore’s security licensing standards.
