About the role: We, at Turing, are looking for experienced Java developers who will design and develop Java applications, and participate in architectural and software development activities. Job responsibilities - Design and develop Java applications - Collaborate with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements - Build and maintain automated test suites and assist in the design and development of backend microservices - Provide technical and operational support to existing web/mobile applications - Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and document system requirements - Perform development and unit testing to ensure better performance and scalability - Analyze existing Java infrastructure and recommend improvements Job requirements - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience) - At least 3+ years of experience in developing software applications using Java (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers) - Experience developing software using the Spring or SpringBoot framework - Expertise in JVM, and Java EE platforms - Solid understanding of databases, including Oracle, MySQL - Strong knowledge of technical design, implementation, deployment, and support - Fluent in English to communicate effectively with engineers and clients - Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
