From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).</p><p></p><p>GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Role Overview:</b></p><ul><li><p>Design/develop/substantiate/implement new repairs.</p></li><li><p>Ensure internal shop documents are kept current with the latest repair documents and flow changes to appropriate personnel.</p></li><li><p>Generate, change/update OP sheets, routers.</p></li><li><p>Track or collect data on yield and identify opportunities to improve yield; conduct new material tryouts;  review process for improvements.</p></li><li><p>Conduct salvation reviews.</p></li><li><p>Raise and follow thru with Departure Records approval, work with REDO or GEAE engineers to enhance tech issue resolution process.</p></li><li><p>Provide work scope for customers, draft responses to customers’ queries.</p></li><li><p>Investigate and answer QPR/CARs.</p></li><li><p>Where applicable, act as subject matter expert to design and develop appropriate OJT for shop CRTs.</p></li><li><p>Engagement in Six Sigma, bullet train activities; lead cluster activities.</p></li><li><p>Up-to-date technical/engineering documents and new business opportunities for company.</p></li><li><p>Ensure up-to-date manuals are deployed for use – compliance.</p></li><li><p>Proper flow down of technical operating documents for CRT use.</p></li><li><p>Up-to-date technical/engineering documents and new business opportunities for company.</p></li><li><p>Ensure up-to-date manuals are deployed for use – compliance.</p></li><li><p>Proper flow down of technical operating documents for CRT use.</p></li><li><p>Customer benefit, yield improvement and additional business for organization.</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper technical qualifications are completed for either transitions in or out of GEASO.</p></li><li><p>Compliance/Customer Satisfaction – timely response & closure.</p></li><li><p>Skills development & enhancement for shop CRTs.</p></li><li><p>Support business productivity & cost efficiency drive efforts.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Ideal Candidate</b></p><p>Good fit to the current organisation with strong sense of ownership to drive changes in value stream</p><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace</p></li><li><p>Related Engineering fields 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment will be an advantage</p></li><li><p>Aviation maintenance repair and/or overhaul environment preferred. </p></li><li><p>Relevant internship experience is highly desirable.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong oral and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem solving skills.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>At GE Aerospace, we have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
