Science Part-Time Tutor

Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed IGCSE Science Tutors to teach lower and higher secondary students (Year 7–Year 11, Cambridge IGCSE syllabus). The role involves delivering high-quality lessons in Physics, Chemistry, and/or Biology, helping students build a strong conceptual foundation and preparing them for outstanding IGCSE exam performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in line with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the syllabus and learning objectives.
• Conduct regular assessments, past paper practice, and exam-focused revision sessions.
• Provide personalised support to address different learning abilities and needs.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the academic team.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and disciplined learning environment.
• Stay updated with changes in the IGCSE curriculum and exam formats.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of Cambridge IGCSE Science syllabus and exam requirements.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Clear communication and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for easier understanding.
• Passion for teaching and motivating students.
• Professional, responsible, and organised.
• Experience: Prior IGCSE teaching/tutoring experience preferred (fresh graduates with strong subject knowledge are welcome).

Working Hours & Compensation

• Full-Time: 5–6 days a week.
• Part-Time: Flexible schedule (weekday afternoons/evenings, weekends).
• Attractive hourly rate or monthly salary (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
• Performance incentives available.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM50.00 - RM150.00 per hour
