<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Perform and oversee dimensional inspections using precision hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and advanced metrology equipment including CMMs and laser trackers.</li><li>Conduct and coordinate in-process, first article, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and AS9100 standards.</li><li>Review and approve inspection reports, maintain traceability, and ensure proper documentation of quality records.</li><li>Identify, document, and track non-conformances; support root cause investigations and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.</li><li>Monitor calibration activities and ensure all inspection and measuring equipment are in compliance.</li><li>Participate in and support internal and external audits (e.g., AS9100, customer, supplier) and ensure readiness of documentation and processes.</li><li>Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.</li><li>Maintain quality documentation and records in compliance with the QMS.</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.</li><li>Provide cross-functional support and participate in cross-training initiatives to enhance operational agility across departments such as Engineering, Production, and Procurement.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent discipline.</li><li> 3–5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or precision manufacturing, ideally within a high-mix, low-volume environment.</li><li>Proficient in inspection techniques, use of CMMs, laser trackers, and other metrology tools.</li><li>Working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards and QMS requirements.</li><li>Competent in interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T principles.</li><li>Effective in quality documentation, reporting, and communication across teams.</li><li> Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for product quality.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to solve problems methodically, collaborate across functions, and support continuous improvement.</li><li>Willingness to take initiative and contribute across departments when operationally required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Eligibility</strong></p><p>We welcome applications from all qualified candidates.</p><p><em>Please note: Due to work pass quota constraints, this position is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.</em></p><p><br></p><p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly by the hiring company for the role of Quality Engineer _Seletar Aerospace Heights, which JSIT (WST) is posting on behalf of.</p>
