Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Science Tutor to conduct online classes for school and college students. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science concepts, programming languages, and digital tools. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education, with the ability to explain complex topics in an engaging and understandable way for learners at various academic levels.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver online computer science lessons to school and college students via video conferencing platforms.
Develop customized lesson plans and study materials tailored to each students curriculum and learning pace.
Provide assignments, quizzes, and mock tests to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
Support students with their academic projects and homework, ensuring conceptual clarity.
Maintain regular communication with students and, where applicable, their parents/guardians regarding performance and progress.
Stay up-to-date with changes in curriculum standards and new developments in the field of computer science.
Participate in regular training and feedback sessions to continuously improve teaching quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, and software development fundamentals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Comfortable using digital whiteboards, screen sharing, and other online teaching tools.
Patient, organized, and adaptable to different student learning styles.
Experience
Minimum of 1–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience (online or in-person) in computer science.
Experience in preparing students for academic exams or competitive programming contests is a plus.
