GIG GURU, an innovative AI-agent platform for creative workers (musicians, cosplayers, event managers, artist managers), seeks a dynamic co-founder to join our mission of revolutionizing the music gig economy. Based in Malaysia, with plans for global expansion, we aim to empower creatives through AI-driven gig matching, automation, and Web3 integration. The co-founder will focus on operations, marketing, expansion, and funding, collaborating closely with the founding team to scale GIG GURU.

Responsibilities

Operations: Oversee platform operations, including AI-agent deployment, user onboarding, and workflow optimization to ensure seamless gig matching and contract automation.

Marketing: Develop and execute strategies to promote GIG GURU, targeting creative communities via social media, partnerships (e.g., Street Voice), and events like music festivals.

Expansion: Drive regional and global growth, identifying markets (e.g., Southeast Asia, Taiwan) and establishing partnerships for cross-industry collaborations (e.g., anime-music events).

Funding: Lead fundraising efforts, including pitching to VCs, applying for grants (e.g., MyCIF), and exploring crowdfunding or Web3 tokenization for gigs.

Team Building: Recruit and manage key hires (e.g., CTO, marketing specialists) to support platform development and scaling.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate on business strategy, leveraging AI analytics for market trends and user engagement to enhance platform features.

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in operations, marketing, or startup growth, ideally in music, entertainment, or tech. Experience in the gig economy or AI platforms is a plus.

Skills: Proven track record in marketing (digital, social media, influencer campaigns), operational efficiency, and fundraising (VC pitches, grants, or crowdfunding).

Network: Strong connections in music or creative industries (e.g., event organizers, artists) and familiarity with Malaysia’s startup ecosystem (e.g., MyStartr, pitchIN).

Vision: Passion for empowering creatives, understanding of AI/Web3 trends, and alignment with GIG GURU’s mission to address gig worker precarity.

Location: Preferably based in Malaysia or willing to relocate; open to remote with travel for key markets (e.g., Taiwan, Singapore).

Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is a plus for regional expansion.

Compensation

Equity: 10-12% equity stake, vesting over 3 years with a 1-year cliff, negotiable based on experience and contribution.

Salary: Deferred until seed funding is secured; potential for profit-sharing or milestone-based bonuses post-funding.
